I think I'm coming down with something. I can feel my body giving in. The sniffles of last night have already become a deluge and the irritating throat has burst into convulsive coughing fits which draw evil stares from other library users who are trying to revise.
Well Mr Pink Jumper, I have a right to revise too. And don't keep giving me dagger stares as if I'm disturbing you - I can see your on Facebook, it's reflected in your glasses you...you...
And Miss Beautiful in Brown, don't turn around and tut every time I discretely blow my nose! The sudden connection with Mr Checked-shirt, the way you exchange glances as I start coughing, has nothing to do with me. He didn't even notice my near dying of coughing experience, it was your constant flicking of your hair that kept whacking his face that made him notice you He was going to have a go at you, i saw the storm in his eyes but then he noticed how beautiful you are and thought well if i keep smiling at her everytime she looks up i might get laid!
Mr Books-piled-up- here sitting opposite me. I can't describe you because i can't see you. You're hidden! I notice that as i rummage for a tissue you brace yourself! I'm sorry. You seem of a nervous disposition. Any sound seems to make you jolt. And I'm sorry about the sneeze that escaped - it took me by surprise too! I saw how your eyes bulged - i didn't know they could bulge so much.
To Miss Hippie. Saying "I dn't know why people who are ill don't just stay at home instead of inflicting their germs on us" wont make me get up and leave. Did you notice that everytime I sneeze I direct it in your direction!!!
Mr old student dude. Thank you for offering me your bottle of water and a mint. It stopped me coughing for all of about two minutes, but thank you anyway.
To the dorky looking Asian guy and his Arab friend who came over to you and discussed an essay question - something to do with Iran. Thank you for not being taken in by the skin-deep-beauty of Mrs Beautiful in Brown and for giving her evil stares when she tutted. And thank you for the sympathy in your eyes. I need sympathy, it's sooths me.
