At 12 midnight yesterday (technically today) I gave in and dragged Mimi out to have a snow ball fight only because I didn’t believe the weathermen/women. “Yea right! 6 to 8 inckes of snow my arse!” I scoffed. “This is London, it never snows that much!”
So we found another bunch of SOAS students who had the same idea as me already there and we joined in. We finished around 1.30am after some people (rigtly) complained of all the noise we were making.
And then I woke up today to find literally 7 inches of snow! I was shocked but delighted. I put on my wellies and headed for SOAS with Mimi who had a presentation today only to find all lectures cancelled! How brilliant was this! Perfect! So I dragged her around London, which was eerily quiet – begs the question how many people actually commute into London!
My cameras broken and Mimi’s camera is also broken ( I stepped on it – don’t ask me why I was climbing onto her shelves where the camera was and what I was trying to get) so we had to make do me sealing the picturesque scenes into our minds. But for you guys who want photo’s check out Fatima’s blog (her flickr account) – the snow has finally made her write a post after keeping the likes of me gasping for a dose of her writing for almost two months!!!
